There’s not a huge difference in raw strength between you and a professional golfer. They might be a little stronger … but not by much. Maybe you’re a little stronger … especially if you work out and/or lift weights.
So why do professional golfers hit the ball a lot longer than you? Why are they more accurate? Why are they more consistent.
One word … LAG.
94% of golfers have no consistent lag in their swing. While 6% of golfers … pros, top amateurs, and college golfers … keep lag in the swing … and play great golf consistently, routinely shooting around par or better.
So …
Without getting into the physics of golf, lag is basically the storage of energy during the downswing so you apply maximum power to the golf ball where it matters the most … impact.
94% of golfers including you, maybe, successfully store energy in the backswing … only to let this stored energy go WAY TOO EARLY in the downswing. This means you have a lot less energy at impact than you could have.
The “bad” move I’m talking about is called “casting” and it’s a lot like the move you make in fishing. The casting move is great for fishing but it’s REALLY BAD in golf.
Thanks to the casting swing flaw … only 6% of golfers successfully transfer all their stored energy to the golf ball at impact.
The dreaded “casting” move at the top of the downswing is the move that keeps so many golfers from being consistent.
But there are two other swing faults that also impact golfers. Let’s take a look at these.
Problem #1. Swing is Off Plane. Now … I’m not going to get into a long discussion about swing plane. It would take about 9 hours to get into swing plane. But I’ll say this … to hit accurate and powerful golf shots consistently, your swing has to be on the correct plane. Want that correct swing plane? It’s something you have to see and feel. And I’ll show you how to feel and see the correct plane in just a minute.
Problem #2. No Forward Shaft Lean at Impact. In a perfect world, at impact, you want the hands ahead of the ball … with a forward shaft lean.
Unfortunately, 94% of golfers get those hands even with the ball … or behind the ball … at impact. This results in poor contact.
So … to achieve solid contact consistently … you must have …
And I’m going to show you how to achieve all this NOW...
